A new semester has started
Thomas Ianke - 22. 08. 2009 10:25A new semester has started, and the new web site sytem form NTNUI has been taken into use. Not much information is available right now, but I'm planning on getting the site up to date soon.
The group leader (me) is currently i Copenhagen, and will be for the whole semester. This should hopefully not be a problem as the table tennis tables are available for anyone to fetch, and the training hours remain the same as before: Tuesday 16.00-16.55, Friday 18.30-19.55, Sunday 12.00-13:30. The group has its practices at Armfeldtsalen at the Gløshaugen. Some table tennis rackets are available in the reception. We have a small storage of more rackets and table tennis balls as well, but I need a contact person in order to ensure that nothing is stolen. This person would have to either be at most practices or appoint another person to be responsible for the equipment.
The group is, and has traditionally been, self driven, i.e. there are no professional trainers that will show exercises etc. People show up and starts playing. Unfortunately there are currenlty only three tables available, (although rumors say that there are two more shabby tables at Dragvoll). So playing double has become the norm in earlier practices.
A good idea to ensure that there are people on the practices, is to send a mail through the common mailing list: bordtennis-alle(at)ntnui.no. Since there has been a different mailing list earlier, some time may pass until information flows the way its intended, but this is the arrangement we're going to use in the future.
To become a member of the group you have to be a member of NTNUI, and you should also become a member of this group on this website. That way you should be included in the common mailing list. After that you can just show up on any practice you'd like! Have fun, and send any questions to thomas(at)ianke.no.
PS:I'm also looking for a new leader for the group. Contact me if you're interested, or if you just want more information.
