NTNUI Cricket Club in Oslo T20
Ameen Chilwan - 29. 06. 2011 03:28NTNUI Cricket Club has confirmed its first-ever participation in an official tournament by registering in T20 tournament to be held in Oslo during the months of July and August.
The Norwegian Cricket Federation (NCF) is the governing body for the sport of Cricket in Norway. In addition to its normal league which is distributed in four divisions, it also conducts some shorter tournaments throughout the season. A T20 tournament is one such tournament and it is held towards the end of July and continues until the mid of August. This year the competition will start on 18th July, 2011 and NTNUI Cricket Club, although is amateur as it is only 7 months old, has confirmed its participation in it. It has been possible to register and get prepared for the competition after standard equipment for the sport arrived the last week. In order to train players, a couple of practice hours are dedicated every weekend. Starting from this weekend, the venue and time of the practice sessions will be announced through the mailing list and everybody is welcomed to join. We also encourage people to sign up for the matches which we are supposed to play on 18th and 19th July, 2011 in Oslo.
